Thornton Heath Arts Week ‘Soundathon’

Popup radio station ready to go liveAs part of Thornton Heath Arts Week 2015 local people have been busy making their own short audio stories in a Sound Together ‘Soundathon’.

Working in small teams participants did everything in one day, from coming up with an idea, recording and editing their stories to broadcasting them live at the Sound Together pop-up radio station in the Healthy Living Centre on Thornton Heath High Street.

Colleagues from Turning Point discussed what they do in the field of substance misuse in local communities.

And in an interview from the sidelines of a swimming pool, Tayo explained why she swims and how this positively affects others in her life.

The stories were splashed with music from local musicians to complete an amazing day of audio-making. Well done to everyone who participated!
